Fairy Godmother of Hope Candle

The Fairy Godmother of Hope was inspired by my need to focus on something uplifting and lighthearted. From the frost, sprouts delicate iridescent flowers made with painted silk flowers, vintage daisy appliqués and sequins. These daises with sewn in glass beads are also added to the Fairy Godmother’s sparkling blonde hair do. She is an upcycled, once forgotten vintage tree angel. She has a new shimmering dress with an overlay and vintage rosette trim. Her banner of Hope is made from recycled cereal boxes and some sparkling vintage floral trim. Her wings are vintage with a new layer of glitter. Handmade Pom poms complete this hopeful vignette.

As with all of my pieces, this was handmade in my East Providence studio and is one of a kind.

This piece measures 16.5 inches across and 10 inches tall.
